How much do you know about pneumatic three-way ball valves?

POST BY SentaNov 14, 2025

Pneumatic three-way ball valves are multi-directional flow valves categorized into L-type, T-type, and Y-type configurations. L-type and T-type valves allow three orthogonal pipelines to interconnect while isolating the third channel, enabling flow splitting and merging functions. These ball valves can only connect two orthogonal pipelines simultaneously and cannot maintain interconnection with the third pipeline. Y-type ball valves are specifically designed for powder media, ensuring smooth powder flow and preventing material accumulation.

Pneumatic three-way ball valves are primarily used in pipelines to shut off, distribute, and redirect media flow. Featuring an integrated structure with a four-seat sealing design, they offer high reliability and lightweight construction, along with an extended service life. During operation, these valves demonstrate high flow capacity and low flow resistance. Based on actuation, they are categorized into single-acting and double-acting types. The key characteristic of single-acting valves is their ability to return to the system-required initial flow direction in the event of an air supply failure. VATTEN pneumatic three-way ball valves employ a silicon sol investment casting body, facilitating easy maintenance and replacement of the ball core and seals.

VATTEN pneumatic three-way ball valves are available in sizes DN10 to DN350. We offer diverse material options including UPVC, CPVC, SS304, and SS316 to meet your requirements.
