Electric Wafer Knife Gate Valve Description

The electric knife gate valve is a linear-stroke on/off shut-off valve, widely used for cutting off and isolating fluid media in various applications. It boasts a simple, elegant appearance, with a lightweight and compact design that facilitates easy installation and maintenance. The valve can be operated either manually or pneumatically, offering flexible control options. The knife-shaped gate provides strong shearing capability, effectively handling media with particles or fibers, ensuring smooth and stable flow.

The electric knife gate valve is particularly suited for complex and demanding working conditions, and is commonly used in industries such as pulp and paper, wastewater treatment, mining, sugar production, and chemical fibers. In these industries, the media often contains larger particles or fibers, and the valve’s specialized design ensures it can meet these challenges while maintaining efficient system operation.

Valve Body

a) The knife gate valve adopts an integrated structure with an ultra-thin body and a full-bore flow channel. This design greatly reduces the risk of medium leakage, minimizes flow loss, lowers costs, and facilitates easy installation and operation.

b) The bottom of the valve body channel is equipped with fixed guiding lugs to secure the gate plate, replacing the traditional groove design. This prevents medium accumulation and avoids jamming when the valve is closed.

Gate Plate

a) The bottom of the gate plate adopts a knife-shaped arc design, providing strong shearing capability and excellent sealing performance during operation. It is particularly suitable for pulp and fiber-containing media control.

b) The valve plate uses PTFE point-guided supports, reducing friction and preventing damage to the valve plate.

c) The thickness of the gate plate can be increased according to actual pipeline pressure requirements.

Valve Seat

a) The valve adopts a replaceable seat design (non-integrated sealing). When the sealing surface is worn, only the seat needs to be replaced, simplifying maintenance, extending service life, and reducing overall equipment operating costs.

b) The replaceable seat design uses a seat cover to secure and pre-tighten the seat. When sealing performance decreases, adjusting the seat cover fixing screws can improve the sealing effect.
